Take the
Teleférico del Teide (cable car) up to 3,555m, just shy of the summit. From there, enjoy marked trails with jaw-dropping views over Tenerife and, on clear days, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro.
- Summit access (Pico del Teide) requires a special permit, bookable months in advance.
- Alternative hikes: Roques de García loop (easy, 1–2 hrs) for dramatic lava formations.
Teide offers one of the world’s most surreal high-altitude landscapes.
The Roques de García hike if you don’t want to commit to altitude.
