Start the day at Playa de las Vistas, the best beach in the area for families. It has calm, shallow waters, lifeguards on duty, and sunbeds with umbrellas for shade.

  • There's a wide promenade perfect for strollers and scooters.
  • Clean toilets and snack bars are nearby, making it easy to hang out until lunch.

Why Go:

Safe, spacious, and well-equipped — it’s a beach that works for toddlers and teenagers.

Try: Renting a pedal boat for a fun 30-minute spin with the kids.

Good For:

Families with small kids, disabled-friendly access, stroller access, beach lovers.
Midday: Whale & dolphin watching cruise
After beach time, walk down to the harbour and board a family-friendly catamaran tour that runs 2–3 hour cruises just offshore. Most offer shaded seating, snacks, and bathrooms onboard.

  • You’re almost guaranteed to spot pilot whales or dolphins year-round.
  • Some tours offer short swim stops — bring towels and sunscreen!

Why Go:

It’s educational, exciting, and calm enough for all ages.

Try:

Freebird Catamaran (has shade, snacks, and English-speaking crew).

Good For:

Curious kids, animal lovers, multi-generational families, families with toddlers.
Afternoon: Ice cream + playtime + easy walk
Once back on land, treat the kids to helado (ice cream) at one of the beachfront kiosks or head to Yoforia Frozen Yogurt.

Then take a slow walk along the promenade toward Palm Mar — you’ll pass street performers, local craft stands, and parks where kids can climb and play.

  • Don’t miss the playground at Plaza del Pescador.
  • Benches and cafés make it easy to pause and relax.

Why Go:

Kids unwind, parents get a breather, and everyone’s happy.

Try:

Mango sorbet or gofio-flavored frozen yogurt (local specialty!).

Good For:

Tired little legs, outdoor fun, relaxed afternoons.

Whether you’re building sandcastles, spotting dolphins, or strolling the palm-lined promenade, Los Cristianos offers a stress-free day that’s tailor-made for families. And the best part? Everything is close by - so even tired toddlers can make it through the day with smiles intact.

While this list is based on personal visits, we’re open to featuring more great spots.
